Mobile app concept that helps local communities to fight the food waste generated by the supermarkets

BRIEF
To fight food waste, Sonae supermarkets had the idea to sell their short-life shelf products (that most likely would end up in the trash bins) for a small value. This way, it’s a win-win situation, both for small businesses who acquire good products “on a sale prize” and for the supermarkets that avoid the big waste and still make small money of their products.

 

It all starts in the community.

 

The logo speaks for itself: it’s a gap in the community and it’s the help between 2 neighbors.
The app consists of an online market with short-life products being sold for a short period and for less money than the usual cost.
The “M” in the logo is for “Market”. The color palette is “eco-friendly”.
